They launched Harrier in 2019. It has left a lasting mark on the heart of every Indian motor enthusiast. In 2025 Tata is looking forward to Launch the Electric model of Harrier. It is expected to be launched in January 2025.
Price
Tata Harrier EV will have 5 passenger capacity similar to its fossil fuel variants. Tata Harrier EV shall have the Price tag of around 30 Lacs (Ex-Showroom).
Feature
Key features will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and dual-zone automatic AC. It will have ventilated front seats, a 6-way power driver’s seat, a 4-way powered co-driver seat, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof (with mood lighting), and a gesture-enabled powered tailgate.
Range
The Harrier EV will be based on the OMEGA Arc platform and it could be launched with a battery pack bigger than that in the Nexon (40.5 – 46.08 kWh). Tata Harrier EV will have dual-motor setup with an all-wheel drive-train. The car will have claimed range of about 500 km.
It will provide stiff competition to Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e. Mahindra BE 6 launched in November 2024 has two variant in terms of battery pack. The variant with 59 kWh has range of 535 km while variant with 79 kWh has the range of 682 km. Similarly, Mahindra XEV 9e has variant in terms of battery pack. The variant with 59 kWh has range of 542 km while variant with 79 kWh has the range of 656 km.
Safety
Tata Harrier EV will have up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and hill-hold and hill-descent control. The Harrier EV can also be equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in top models.
The Tata Harrier EV will also compete with Mahindra XUV.e8, Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV which has shown good presence on Indian roads in last few years.
