Honda motor has decided to enter the electric 2 wheeler (EV) segment with Activa e. It will be launched in India in a phased manner. It has become one of the most awaited 2 wheeler among motorist.
Honda Motor Co. Ltd., a Japanese multinational conglomerate, is one of the largest manufacturers of 2-wheeler’s in the world. Honda entered the Indian market in 1999 through a joint venture with the Indian company Hero Group. It resulted in the formation of Hero Honda. However, in 2010, Honda Motor Co. acquired full control of its Indian operations and named itself as Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI).
It has became one of the top competitor in India with launch of variety of scooter and motorcycle. It include – scooters like Honda Activa, Honda Dio, Honda Grazia and motorcycles like Honda CB Shine, Honda Unicorn, Honda Hornet, Honda CBR series.

The fossil fuel based Activa had taken market by storm. It has been highest selling scooter from beginning. The electric version of vehicle Activa e would like to repeat the same success for the company.

The experiment of Honda can change the indian roads for good. Right now the electric vehicle company like Ola Electric has face many criticism.
